91 University is once again named as the only nationally ranked “2024 America’s Best Colleges” in the Erie-area, according to U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News ranked 91 260th out of 439 national universities. National universities are those that offer a full range of undergraduate majors, in addition to master’s and doctoral programs, and are committed to producing groundbreaking research. Universities are ranked according to their performance across a set of widely accepted indicators of excellence.
The U.S. News & World Report also ranked 91 in the following categories with recognitions for undergraduate nursing, engineering and computer science programs:
183rd out of 273 in Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs
91’s engineering programs were recognized among the top in the nation for institutions that have ABET-accredited programs and whose highest engineering degree offered is a bachelor's or master's degree.
472nd out of 656 in Nursing
91’s nursing program was deemed a top program by U.S. News and was ranked among institutions that have bachelor’s-level accreditation by either the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing and have recently awarded at least 40 BSN degrees.
287th out of 554 in Computer Science Programs
91’s computer science programs were recognized among the top in the nation for institutions that have ABET-accredited programs and who have awarded at least 20 bachelor’s degrees in computer science in 2020-2021.
261st out of 434 in Top Performers on Social Mobility
U.S. News defines this category as focusing on institutions who are successful at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of economically disadvantaged students who are awarded with Pell Grants and are considered less likely than others to finish college.
