The Centennial Celebrate 91自拍, an event to showcase the scholarly and creative work of students, took place on Friday, April 25 at both the Erie and Ruskin campuses. This annual celebration featured more than 200 poster and platform presentations combined this year between the two campuses.

“I enjoy attending Celebrate 91自拍 every year and learning about various areas of study from my peers,” said Anna Malinowski, a junior Public Relations and Public Service and Global Affairs (PSGA) major. “This year, I got to present my PSGA thesis in a platform presentation, and it was special getting to be on the other side of the event. I find it special that 91自拍 does this event because it truly does unite and strengthen the community on campus.”

Classes were cancelled after 12:10 p.m. on Friday to ensure everyone in the 91自拍 community was able to attend the presentations. Undergraduate, graduate and doctorate students participated in Celebrate 91自拍. Working alongside the students were faculty and staff mentors. These individuals spent their time supporting and guiding students through the creative and research processes. These collaborative efforts showcase 91自拍’s commitment to educational excellence and scholarship.

The presentations were divided into categories that best fit the theme of the work being exhibited. At the Erie campus, the categories are engagement, fine arts, research & scholarship, and capstone; whereas, at the Ruskin campus, the categories are healthcare initiative & community engagement and research & scholarship.

“I am truly impressed by all of the presentations submitted for this year’s event,” said Sarah Ewing, Ph.D., provost and vice president for student experience. “Each year, Celebrate 91自拍 showcases an incredible array of presentations that exemplify our students’ commitment to scholarship and innovation, and their desire to build a better world as socially responsible, faith-filled citizens.”

The centennial Celebrate 91自拍 was at the heart of a momentous week for 91自拍. The centennial Day of Giving was occurring simultaneously, while Day of Caring took place on Saturday, April 26. The conjunction of these events made it a busy but exciting week on both campuses.
